hello folks this is the Hifi Man once again and today I am reviewing Khalbali Records. It  hit the Jio Cinema OTT platform on the 12th of September and between then and now it's been quite tough on me...  because you know it's tough taking out time to sort of go back to back on the series. But this is addictive! AndI it was not too much of an effort to go through it because it's such a brilliantly made series.

I will not say that it's the first of its kind - Khalbali Records. The basic premise is between a father and son. It's a battle between two different mindsets two different eras. The sun rebels as  it's a new era of that he is sort of trying to propel and um there's a lot of backstory which you will get to know, when you watch! The focal point is the music industry - especially the hip-hop industry, and it gives you a deep insight into how things are done in the hip-hop industry.

It's fresh because uh you know many of us don't know what's happening in the background of the hiphop industry and how things are done. So it's a great way of whetting your teeth.

The premise of putting hiphop on the Forefront is not new. I think there was one on  series on Sony -Sony'splatform Sony live last year. That too was a great series. That was shuttling between Canada and India. Basically Canada and Punjab - where most of the hip-hop is being pushed through. And this series is shuttling between Big Daddy Mumbai and Delhi- which is again another Hub - a major hub for hip hop.

It's a great series. It begins with the main Hip-Hop star being murdered in the middle of of his show and then and then the story unfurls.

Brilliant, brilliant performances by I would say Ram Kapoors, Skand Sanjay Thakur, was in the pivotal role ... Saloni Batra great performance...  and uh of course the father is being played by RAM KAPOOR-  RAM in a negative role is quite a treat! He actually steals the show with his acting...  So it's a must watch ... yeah it's a must watch
